GuardianFinder WireFrame WireFrame Screen 1
The first WireFrame is specifically created as the login interface for the GuardianFinder app. The login interface will be kept as a basic straightforward design allowing easy login and account creation for new users. After the registration process through “Create New Account”, users will be able to login in the app using their email address and password. Face ID login will be enabled to enhance user login and keep a hand free login for users. At the bottom of the login interface will be a button to send users to a page explaining the GuardianFinder app and the uses. WireFrame Screen 2 WireFrame Screen 2 interface is related to a user connecting to a GuardianFinder device and connects users to existing accounts. GuardianFinder devices will include watches, bracelets, rings, or necklaces. Through the second screen users can connect devices by scanning QR codes on the wearable devices. Users will also have the option to input the devices manually by the associated barcodes on the devices. Users will also be able to connect to an existing user who is

already connected to a device. Allowing new users to connect to existing devices lets anyone watch a family member or friend who has dementia and allows for more observation of the individual. Users can sign out if they do not have a device yet purchased. There will also be a support button to help users connect devices and ask questions related to the app. WireFrame Screen 3 WireFrame Screen 3 is the main interface of the GuardianFinder app and contains the main functions of the app. After users are login and have a device already associated with the account, they will be brought to WireFrame Screen 3. The display of the interface will provide users with real-time updated location through GPS enabled GuardianFinder devices. Under the GPS map will be the device listed that is connected and GPS enabled to the account. The device will show current connectivity, battery life, ability to geo-ping the device, and call the device if talk-to-talk is available on the device.
Notifications will be listed showing the current location of the user wearing the device. The device will track the time of how long the user has been at a location and updated location if the user of the device has traversed to a new location and the time they have been in motion. Under the notifications will be an alert button that alerts other users connected to the main account. The alert will be used for emergency cases in case the main caretaker is unable to get into contact with the wearer of the device. There will be an “SOS” alert button to notify first responders in case of emergencies. At the bottom of the interface the first symbol brings up a list of users connected to the accounts. The “+” sign is to add a new wearable device for the account. The question mark is to lead to the customer support page to ask any questions regarding uses of the app. Explanation The wireframes were designed based on the collective feedback of interviewee responses. WireFrame Screen 2 was designed to add devices easily and quickly. QR code scan was recommended as it takes a few seconds to scan and add device. Enabling Face ID was added to for hands free login and to also ease the login process. The main interface was designed to have everything needed to track a family member with dementia while wearing a device. Having the connectivity and battery life of the wearable device was an added function to ensure the wearable device is working properly. Digital Watch The GuardianFinder has the capabilities to be compatible with a wearable digital watch. A benefit of a digital watch is the GPS enabled technology with real time location and tracking movement patterns of the relative with dementia. The limitation of digital watches is the
constraints of the screen size. The functions of the GuardianFinder app may be limited to a digital watch in order to fully optimize the app. Notifications will be a main function of a digital watch, showing notifications of moving or current locations of the family member affected by dementia. Touch-based Kiosk While the GuardianFinder app is intended for mobile application use, the app can be adapted to a touch-based kiosk. The touch-based kiosk allows for a larger screen, so user cognitive abilities should be considered. To accommodate all diverse cognitive abilities, increased touch sizes should be considered for varying motor skills. Using large buttons and swipe gestures allows for better navigation. The larger space of kiosk screen will allow the interface to be expanded. The information present should be provided clear and optimized to the correct size to not overwhelm users. Users should also be able to adjust screen sizes and button sizes to their liking and preferences. Regular testing and iteration will be crucial to refining the design based on real-world usage and feedback.
