<his is important to teach to your students in the classroom especially if they are
using technology in the classroom because it helps them learn how to use technology
in school and how to treat others with respect which will hopefully carry over to their
use of technology outside of the classroom±

When it comes to communication it is important to communicate to all parties that should be part of the discussion.
It is important to communicate your students expectations when it comes to them being online.
+ommunication is such an important thing when you are a teacher± 1t is important to
communicate with all the parties that are involved in the situation± <his could be a
student is misbehaving and the parents are in the loop about it and maybe the
administration team needs to be aware of it as well± )s much as communication is
important it is also important to be aware of what you should not communicate to due
to laws± 3nowing the happy medium and who to be involved and who not is important±
?hen using technology in the classroom² it is important to communicate to your
students what is expected of them during their use of technology² going over the
classroom technology rules² and expressing consequences that could happen±

to remember that not all state and cities have the same laws² so be up to date in your

Security is important when it comes to being online in the classroom because us teachers are in charge of the student and we need to keep them safe. ;ecurity is very important in the classroom± ?hen students in the class are using
technology it is important for us to keep them safe since we are in charge of them± ?e
should keep them on websites and apps that are approved by the school and that
steer clear of anything that is unsafe± 7ur schools should also have websites blocked
on student technology if it is not safe or appropriate for our students± ?e also need to
be managing what they use while they are on their devices± ?hen they are on their
devices we should be walking around and monitoring the classroom and working with
the students if possible±

²s a teacher, it is our right and responsibility to protect our students.
)s a teacher² it is our right and responsibility to protect our students± <hese parents
send their children to school and don’t want to have to worry all day about their
student and if they are safe or not± <hey trust us with their students± <his means as
teachers when safety issues happen we put our students before us± ?e make sure
they are ok² they are safe² and we do anything we can to protect them from getting
physically or mentally hurt±

students devices so they are only allowed to use certain apps when they are asked
to± .or example² if you tell your students to grab their 18ads and they can choose
between two different math apps² they should only be allowed to choose between
those two apps and shouldn’t have access at that time to any other apps that are on
their± .inally² it is important to have the website³app on your device where you can see
your students’ screens from your own screen± <his is important to make sure your
students are staying on track as well as they are not getting into any trouble±

±ullying, Harassment, Intimidation, and Violence is absolutely never allowed in the classroom as well as outside the classroom.
*ullying² harassment² intimidation² and violence is absolutely never allowed in or out
of the classroom± ;tudents need to learn the rules of being online in their classroom
before they are allowed to use technology± <hey need to show and prove that they
can follow the rules in and outside of the classroom± 1t is also important to talk to the
students about consequences that can happen if they do not follow these rules inside
the classroom as well as outside the classroom± 1 think it is important for students to
learn how to use online technology and know that their actions will affect them±
