Step 3: Read in detail the scenario of Merrilton Robotics.
Task 2 is a stand-alone task where we are taking part in on-boarding new employees. As part of the formal on-boarding process, we are providing a presentation on the use of two communication strategies in a business situation and the three benefits of one of the strategies. We will also provide a similar review of two of the communication methods.
Step 4: Research communication methods and strategies for parts A & B
Step 5: Create your multimedia presentation (PowerPoint/Keynote)
Task 2 requires we create a PowerPoint, perform a video presentation showing the PowerPoint and ourselves on camera, and an executive summary of the important points addressed in the presentation.

Step 7: Create an Executive summary based on your multimedia presentation. A copy is available in the
PowerPoint under the Resource Index.
Step 8: Compare each step to the Rubric
Tips for each prompt.
Use the language the evaluators are looking for in each prompt. Examples: advantages, disadvantages, mitigations, organizational impacts, and/or remedies, ETC.
Prompt A:
Information for prompt A research only and you do not have to provide any documentation. Information will be used for prompt C.
Communication strategies
refer to how we communicate using word form, structure, persuasion, positives, and negatives. For example, we may use direct, pivoting, or indirect organization when formulating our paragraphs. To address how our strategies support or do not support it is important to understand the pros and cons of each method. Chapter 5 section 5.2d – 5.6 explains effective and ineffective Direct, Indirect, and Pivoting strategies.
Evaluate two types of organizational communication strategies (direct, indirect, pivoting)
Prompt A1:
Describe a business situation where the two selected organizational communication strategies are used effectively.
Prompt A2:
Describe three attributes that correlate with one of the selected communication methods from A.
Prompt B:
Information for prompt B research only and you do not have to provide any documentation. Information will be used for prompt C.
The
methods
are email, letter, blog, and social media, one each. Chapters one (1) and two (2) provide information on the pros and cons of each method. Chapter 1 section 5b figure 1.9 describes advantages and disadvantages.

Prompt D:
Executive summary based on Part C’s presentation. The executive summary is an abstract written in Word, providing a brief overview of the important points presented in the video presentation. I suggest watching your presentation after it is recorded, taking notes, and then writing the summary.
