After reading through all the works by Walt Whitman and Mark Twain, as
well as the Chat GPT explanations of each work, I could not pick out anything that I took from each that was not touched on in each explanation. I feel as though each Chat GPT response gave enough context and insight that someone, like myself, who may not see so deeply into the premises and undertones of each work could still come away with an understanding of the overall messages they’re meant to impart on the audience.
Was there too much textual evidence from the works in the GPT responses? Not enough? Not any? Identify up to two phrases or lines
from each work that you think would improve the relevant GPT response.
In my opinion, the use of textual evidence seemed to vary in each response. When concerning the response to Whitman’s ‘O Captain! My Captain’, it seemed as though his usual writing style was used as evidence to contrast how he chose to write that piece, and how it differed in structure and tone.
