Module One Short Paper: Team Building and Collaboration Proposal
Introduction
International Gadgets (IG), a large multinational company has been suffering loss of profitability and reputational damage due to missed product delivery deadline, communication gap and currency devaluation in the European sales region. The delay was caused by mostly external factors such as dockworker’s strike at U.S. West Coast ports, miscommunication about parts shortage between manufacturing and sales, Switzerland’s devalued currency which caused decline in European sales and overall reputational damage.
IG’s primary objective is to enhance organization resilience and efficiency by addressing and resolving these issues, develop and retain customers trust, and growth in financial performance.
Plan
The key areas that need improvements are Supply chain management to reassure there are solutions or alternatives for parts shortage. By implementing measurements to improve communication between different departments, especially between manufacturing and sales. So, if there is an actual delay, team members are prepared for risk mitigation. Cutting down unnecessary costs, rebuilding trust, and transparency between company and its customers. Financial forecasting is a must for situations like currency devaluation. Training guidelines, wikis, webinar training will help increase knowledge, raise awareness and improve employees HPI (Human Performance Improvement) matrix. “HPI focuses on root cause analysis and overcome the barriers inherent in teamwork” (Technical Communication: Process and Product- 9

Moreover, an IT communication specialist is required to ensure company’s hardware and software needs are met for clear and seamless communication. And lastly, an analyst role (Financial/System analyst) for profitability and data analysis skill for improving financial strategies.
The team's diversified makeup guarantees that all project-related issues—from customer relations and supply chain management to continuous improvement—are fully addressed. A successful company should focus on team accomplishments, encouraging collaboration allowing for finishing tasks efficiently (Rozen, The seven characteristics of successful company cultures 2017). Mitigating external disruption like the workers riot, rebuilding and safeguarding reputation in the market, recognition of team-members will ensure positive outcomes for IG’s future.
Conclusion
IG’s success will hinge on the team’s collaborative efforts, effective communication, and application of diverse skillsets to implement targeted solutions. In addition to helping IG get past
its present difficulties, the proposed project positions the company for long-term success in the face of unknowns ahead.
To accomplish the overall project goals, the team should work together while utilizing each member's unique talents.
