Value
Ethical behavior within any organization has become one of the most vital things for an organization to succeed. Ethical behavior is defined as “the application of moral principles, standards of behavior and sets of values regarding proper conduct in the workplace” (
Ethical behaviour definition
n.d.). By displaying good ethical behavior, a company’s overall morale can be increased exponentially. With an increased morale a company’s employee retention can increase as well as their client relations (Peek, 2023). For example, I have worked in the hospitality industry for a little over 6 years. I have worked at some restaurants that have employees who do not act ethical on both managerial and server levels. In my experience, it is important to have everyone act ethical no matter what level. Impact
Ethics does not just affect an organization on the surface, it affects an organizations culture overall. Increasing ethical cultures pays off in the end. For example, the restaurants I’ve worked at in the past had policies, such equal growth opportunities, and open door, allow their employees to feel supported and cared about. These policies and ethical actions increase a company brand awareness, loyalty, and culture.
System Theory
System theory fits into these scenarios perfectly. The system theory allows organizations to. utilize communication as a tool effectively. For example, a company that uses an open system
depends on a specific environment to grow and succeed. If a company was to use an open system
unethically, it would create a major loss in money productivity. Overall, when utilizing systems

theory, a company should be as ethical as possible, so they are able to achieve the goals that have
been set for their success.
