Reflection summary Sunday Aguinede Centennial college Field placement March 17 Question 1 No No i dont No
My field placement experience is going well. Question 2 My placement is going well, especially after the meeting that I had with my CFS, AFSs, and myself. My AFS has introduced me to the Milner YMCA where I participated in their workshop program, among other things, including how to create different kinds of resumes. I took part in meetings on job fairs, shadows with clients to ensure they maintained their connection to their jobs, and looked for the requested kinds of positions. Took part in the food bank's packing and distribution of food. accepting calls, forwarding them from front desk to workers, and preparing resumes for customers. Look for the resources the client requires. I have exciting tasks that let me meet and talk to clients, collaborate with colleagues, and work with other placement student. The experience is interesting, and I get to interact with a variety of people while also being part of a team. It's a great opportunity to learn and grow in a professional setting.
Question 3 I've learned how to pay close attention to what clients are saying and then calmly and pleasantly react. Rather of speculating on possible incorrect replies, I've learnt to direct clients to my supervisor for precise information. Since clients are the reason social workers work in this field, I also try to be empathetic, kind, and calm. My comprehension of empathy, social responsibility, and the necessity of community support has increased, making these concepts more in line with my personal values and beliefs. This increased understanding has strengthened my resolve to help others. My interactions with customers and coworkers have improved as a result, leading to a greater sense of empathy and commitment to helping those in need. It has also helped to foster a friendly and supportive environment at my field placement organisation. Yes Question 4 This month, I've helped my field placement by aggressively seeking out and alerting my supervisor to worthwhile work openings. I created a useful resource for them by concentrating on jobs like basic labour and administrative job.

I had the chance to watch clients, which helped me better understand their requirements and figure out how to help them without compromising their confidentially until it was absolutely necessary for the business. Through this training, I was able to communicate more effectively with clients, staff, and coworkers. By actively taking part in the observation process, I was able to obtain insightful knowledge about practical approaches to meeting client needs. All things considered, this experience improved my comprehension of client demands and advanced my career by honing my communication skills in a variety of agency settings. Question 5 I'm going to be calling new companies and communicating with them about job opportunities, and my AFSs are helping me learn even more. They want me to establish a connection so I may assist them however I can. I believe it's critical to acquire leadership and good communication skills for my future as a social service worker. My AFSs can assist me in making sure i have a good practice skill with employer in one-on-one conversations to gain a deeper understanding of and response to their requirements.
The best approach for my AFSs to support my learning throughout our time together is by allowing me to attend customer meetings. I can comprehend their demands and worries in this way. They can also provide me with opportunities to speak with clients one-on-one so I can learn more about how to assist them. I will really benefit from this practical experience in order to acquire the necessary information and abilities. I value the chances I get to get firsthand knowledge from working with clients. Question 6 In my field placement agency i am learning about its policies and procedures with the help of the social learning theory. To create a collaborative learning atmosphere, I put this information to use by imparting it to other placement students. I want to connect myself with the organization's established practises and ideals by taking on the behaviour of the leaders inside the agency. By using this strategy, I am better able to blend in with the agency's culture and the work environment is more upbeat. In general, the social learning theory provides an effective framework for learning within the agency and using what is learned. I watch the work being done at the agency through the prism of the social learning theory, keeping a close eye on how client requirements are met and the answers that
are given. Active observation and learning from the agency's practical experiences are part of this approach. I can learn about efficient tactics and procedures by attentively observing how needs are satisfied and replies are created. My comprehension of the agency's operating dynamics has improved as a result of these findings, which also influence how I personally handle client requests. No any other comment
