Task 4 community of care B1.
I chose SEO empathy, and all individuals can learn. Empathy- When I substitute in classrooms, I show empathy by listening without interrupting my students. I pay attention to body language and other types of nonverbal language. I try to understand students even when I do not agree with them, and I try to imagine myself in my students' shoes. All individuals can learn- I demonstrate this by teaching each student the skills needed to participate. Create activities that involve all students to participate. Make sure they feel valued in the activity and support diverse learning styles. 2A. Two SEO developments I can improve on are integrity and communication. I can improve on integrity by being noticeably clear about papers and classwork and my expectations. Engage students in the learning process and expect ambitious standards from my students. I can improve communication by practicing active listening and communicating with students and parents. I can also work on taking considerate feedback from my students and have control over my emotions.

Each of those steps will help me develop as a next gen educator by ensuring I am constantly working on all those skills. I will work towards meeting all my goals and continue to grow in the skills I already display. C1. When working with family's caregivers and the community, I will show professionalism by maintaining my knowledge of what I am teaching, as well as making sure I am working with these people in my student's life to ensure they are getting the best education possible. I will show belonging by encouraging academic conversations with talk moves and boosting engagement with notices and wonders. C2 These SEOs of professionalism and belonging are both important aspects of being a teacher. A student having someone they can trust is important to me and providing them with a safe space in my class when they may not have that outside of school is what my goal is as a teacher. When a student has a place, they feel safe, they are more open to learning and can achieve that growth.
