Topic 4 DQ 1
Technology is sometimes seen as an isolating concept. How can technology resources be used to encourage collaboration and increase students’ critical thinking skills in social studies instruction? Be specific.
Technology resources, in my opinion, can be applied in a variety of ways to promote teamwork
and strengthen students' critical thinking abilities during social studies lessons. Several of the classes I've observed have used Google Classroom. In addition to seeing homework assignments and teacher remarks, this would enable students to interact with one another via a school portal and access various tabs. A Flip Grid is something that might be used now, in my
opinion, to promote teamwork. This resource offers a video discussion for the classroom that encourages student participation and cooperation. Flipgrid is an excellent tool for developing your students' communication skills while fostering collaboration (5 Tech Tools For Classroom cooperation, n.d.). Because they may respond to a peer's video and continue the conversation,
this also helps children develop their critical thinking abilities and gives them a voice.
