Based on GCU’s Christian identity and heritage as a Christian University the classes and content will take a more Holistic approach. Often with other universities that do not have a religious background, the content is more practical, and the drive is focused on content and mastery. GCU’s text on “Mastering Graduate Studies,” it focuses not just on expanding your knowledge but also emphasizes how important graduate school can be for bettering yourself.
I think utilizing this concept of thinking will not only help me strengthen my mind academically and professionally but help me grow as a person. The focus on how a graduate degree can help in your mental process of how you find solutions and problem solve not only within your profession but as a person is a unique component in a university that I am intrigued by. For example, the “Mastering Graduate Studies, “text on page 3, it references identifying one's Professional, Personal, Spiritual and Moral goals (DiVincenzo, 2014).
