to improve the effectiveness of communication in a bureaucratic organization? (C.O. 4)
In an organization that is structured in a traditional bureaucratic form communication can be advanced by encouraging open communication between management and employees and actively listening to each other, having clear policies and procedures, so that information can be passed along with little to no issues, and more training on communication for all staff. Computerized communication can be utilized by using document managing systems, so that information is more accessible to employees, using video chat platforms like Microsoft teams or something similar to that as well as just making use of regular email communication. 2.

A few of the drawbacks that come from using computerized information systems are that it becomes more likely the system will be attacked, maintenance costs will increase, all the staff will need more training, and the systems could malfunction and cause severe problems. The economic forces that limit the enforcement of immigration laws are the lack of those working in the field and employers who are reliant on immigrant workers. The political forces are public opinion, a lot of people are against immigration services and will actively work against them to keep immigrants protected from them some places will limit their cooperation with immigration or not cooperate at all. 5.
In your academic opinion, to what extent has the "war on terror" impacted local law enforcement practices? What is your reasoning? (C.O. 5)
the war on terror was put into place after 9/11 and has impacted police as they have become more focused on monitoring domestic communities as well as having to do both regular community work and security work against terrorists. The reasoning being that this event caused “terror” and has made law enforcement more cautious as well as more
aware that there is other crime going on against us that is not just within our communities
or even our country.
