Good evening. Many subject areas such as science, mathematics, and language learning greatly benefit from technology integration due to their reliance on simulations, interactive models, and global communication. Subjects like math can now utilize many programs that make learning fun and exciting and also stimulating for the students.
I believe the most difficult subject areas to integrate technology into would be
physical
education or art since these areas often emphasize a more hands-on approach that technology cannot fully replicate. However, there are such videos that could be integrated into art classes such as "How to" videos with step-by-step instructions. My daughter and I often watch YouTube videos on how to draw since she loves to draw.
While technology can enhance learning in almost all areas, subjects that require physical skill or personal interaction might not benefit from
heavy technological focus.
For example, in subjects like art or drama, an over-reliance on technology may dilute the emphasis on personal creativity and performance. Therefore, while technology can
be a powerful tool, its integration should be thoughtfully considered to ensure it complements rather than detracts from the learning objectives of each subject area. There are many resources on the outside that take away from the actual learning experience and students sometimes lose out because of it. I have seen firsthand where vocabulary is not what it used to be and students are having a hard time spelling simple words because of auto-correct and other factors.
