She has the national heroes of the country and natural trees and animal names. The classroom consists of 3 teachers an ESL teacher (English and language) and a teacher's aide that sits in the back. Also, the classroom has special needs students who come in during extensions. Describe any district, county, school or cooperating teacher requirements that would affect planning or delivery of curriculum.
As a substitute teacher in Prince William County, I have observed that there is much room for improvement in the education system. There is a high demand for teachers who can work with students with disabilities, particularly those with Autism. Teachers need to be better trained in how to motivate and discipline these students. Additionally, classrooms need to be more structured, with more interaction between teachers and students.
Unfortunately, I have also noticed that bullying is a serious problem in some schools. Many students get mistreated by bullies, and there is not enough supervision to keep students safe. Victims of bullying often don't speak up, which only exacerbates the problem.
To improve the education system, teachers need more time for planning and preparation. The curriculum in Virginia is based on the Standards of Learning (SOL), which is a structured and organized system. I appreciate that teachers have to submit their SOLs a week prior to revision, as this provides additional input and helps improve the quality of education.
How much time each day is devoted to literacy instruction and identify and instructional programs or materials/resources; The classroom schedule is divided into 15 subjects, including literacy, which starts at 12:05 pm. Following the literacy class, students are directed to literacy centers where they are separated into groups of 4-5 to work on their worksheets. The worksheet primarily involves writing short sentences, and resources for this activity include book reading and the use of a smart board.

Pals struggling readers After collecting data and evaluating the context of the field experience classroom, reflect upon the following prompts (use as much space as you need to fully answer each question):
Describe the diversity of your field experience classroom. Stunt diversity is 65.4 Hispanics and 16.2 African American 8% white, 6.2% Asian, and 3.9% Multiracial. 6.2 rank gifted.
Explain how the context for learning and the background knowledge of the students will impact your planning and instruction. Having background knowledge is crucial for students as it enables them to establish connections with new information and comprehend concepts better. When teachers relate the
lesson to their English Language Learners (ELL) backgrounds, it validates their culture and experiences, which enhance their interest in the lesson.
Describe the unit you have selected. List the social studies state standard.
Content SOLs Addressed: Content SOLS Addressed 1.9 The student will read and demonstrate comprehension of a variety
of fictional texts. Ask and answer who, what, when, where, why, and how questions about what is read. Vocabulary: who, what, when, where, why, how Language Objective: The student will be able to orally ask questions using question words and sentence stems.
How might you integrate math and the arts?
I will ask a series of math questions using the five W's: Who, What, When, Where, and Why.
Describe how you would integrate a strategy that will utilize a student’s home language?
I will incorporate gestures into my communication with students. As teachers, it is important to ensure that our words create a clear mental image or concept in our listeners' minds. By using gestures, we can provide better visual cues to ESL students to aid their comprehension. Additionally, it can be helpful to repeat key words frequently during instruction to assist students in better understanding the content. Another useful tool is Google Images, which can be used to help students visualize words and concepts.
