an effective response to the emergency. Through social media, people can learn if loved ones are
safe. Social media plays more of a role in most people's daily lives. Abimbola (2023) note that
billions of people are on Facebook, X (Twitter), Snapchat, and other emerging form of social
media. When disaster strikes, these platforms are needed to aid in the disaster. The reach of the
social network goes all around the world. Social media can be an excellent tool for emergency
management. They can communicate with each other and the community quickly. The platforms
can be used to cover many situations that responders can encounter. When disaster comes, people
can turn to social media for news and event updates.
