As a medical assistant, what steps will you take to protect your patients in the medical facility? As a medical assistant the steps I will take to protect my patients are maintaining a clean environment, having a listening ear, practicing infection control practices, screening patients and visitors, maintaining social distance, educating patients on their concerns, and also monitoring and reporting to the provider. ●
As a medical assistant, what steps will you take to protect yourself while interacting with patients?
The steps I will take to protect myself are wearing my PPE correctly, practice
social distancing, and having respect for personal space. ●

Universal precautions are extremely important for our safety and health not only for the patient but also for the facility. ●
In your opinion, what is the most important takeaway that was presented in this unit’s material and how will it relate to your career as a

In my opinion the most important takeaway is protection and communication.
If you can’t protect yourself with using your PPE correctly then you can’t help
your provider or your patient. Communication is a big key because not communicating with your colleagues or patients could leave a big mess and a lot of confusion. ●
