Buoyant Force
Purpose: The goal of this lab is to calculate the weight of the water displaced by a hanging mass and compare that to the measured buoyant force.
Procedure: In this experiment I worked alone which was okay. I had some difficultly when it came to getting my string and scales to stop spinning around in circles so I could get a clear reading. Other than those problems the lab was quite fun. I got a little creative and had to use a table under my workout bar to make sure everything was leveled correctly. Seeing the difference between weight and scale with and without the water was neat.
