Cite any resources you use, including your textbook, in APA format. Prepare your file in MS Word.  Define the term “values statement.” A values statement is a concise declaration that outlines an individual's core principles, beliefs, and ethical standards. It serves as a guide to one's behavior and decision-making, reflecting what is most important and non-negotiable in their life. Create your own personal values statement. My values statement guides my actions and choices in both my personal and professional life: Integrity: I prioritize honesty, transparency, and moral uprightness in all my interactions and decisions. I believe that trust is the foundation of any meaningful relationship, whether personal or professional. Caring about people: I am committed to treating all individuals with empathy and respect, regardless of their background, beliefs, or perspectives. Learning from different aspects of life: I value lifelong learning and personal growth. I believe that staying curious, adaptable, and open to new ideas is essential for personal development and professional success. Team Player: I embrace the importance of teamwork and collaboration in achieving common goals.
3 Develop your own personal code of ethics. Transparency: I will always be truthful and transparent in my communications and actions, even when facing difficult situations. Confidentiality: I am committed to safeguarding the confidentiality and privacy of sensitive information, coworkers and people that I know, they know that every conversation is confidential unless is something that they want me to share with someone else. Professional Development: I will continuously invest in my professional development by acquiring new skills and knowledge relevant to my career path. Partnership: I will actively promote a culture of collaboration, respect, and inclusion within my professional teams. Relate your personal code of ethics to your professional career path. As someone with a strong work ethic and a genuine concern for coworkers, I believe that adhering to the principles of honesty, confidentiality, and supportive collaboration is crucial in any professional setting.
