How much of this submission has been generated by AI?
0%
of qualifying text in this submission has been determined to be
generated by AI.
Caution: Percentage may not indicate academic misconduct. Review required.
It is essential to understand the limitations of AI detection before making decisions
about a student's work.
We encourage you to learn more about Turnitin's
AI detection
capabilities before using the tool.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the percentage mean?
The percentage shown in the AI writing detection indicator and in the AI writing report is the amount of qualifying text within the
submission that Turnitin's AI writing detection model determines was generated by AI.
Our testing has found that there is a higher incidence of false positives when the percentage is less than 20. In order to reduce the
likelihood of misinterpretation, the AI indicator will display an asterisk for percentages less than 20 to call attention to the fact that
the score is less reliable.
However, the final decision on whether any misconduct has occurred rests with the reviewer/instructor. They should use the
percentage as a means to start a formative conversation with their student and/or use it to examine the submitted assignment in
greater detail according to their school's policies.
How does Turnitin's indicator address false positives?
Our model only processes qualifying text in the form of long-form writing. Long-form writing means individual sentences contained in paragraphs that make up a
longer piece of written work, such as an essay, a dissertation, or an article, etc. Qualifying text that has been determined to be AI-generated will be highlighted blue
on the submission text.
Non-qualifying text, such as bullet points, annotated bibliographies, etc., will not be processed and can create disparity between the submission highlights and the
percentage shown.
What does 'qualifying text' mean?
Sometimes false positives (incorrectly flagging human-written text as AI-generated), can include lists without a lot of structural variation, text that literally repeats
itself, or text that has been paraphrased without developing new ideas. If our indicator shows a higher amount of AI writing in such text, we advise you to take that
into consideration when looking at the percentage indicated.
In a longer document with a mix of authentic writing and AI generated text, it can be difficult to exactly determine where the AI writing begins and original writing
ends, but our model should give you a reliable guide to start conversations with the submitting student.
Disclaimer
Our AI writing assessment is designed to help educators identify text that might be prepared by a generative AI tool. Our AI writing assessment may not always be accurate (it may misidentify
both human and AI-generated text) so it should not be used as the sole basis for adverse actions against a student. It takes further scrutiny and human judgment in conjunction with an
organization's application of its specific academic policies to determine whether any academic misconduct has occurred.

l.
Financial Institutions (Banks)
: Financial institutions may be involved in
facilitating payment transactions and financing arrangements related to the
business venture.
m.
Local Community (Ancaster, Ontario)
: The local community may benefit from
the economic activity generated by Ancaster Automotive Supply and any potential

These stakeholders have various interests, concerns, and potential impacts
related to Ancaster Automotive Supply's venture into the semiconductor chip
distribution business in southwestern Ontario. Therefore, understanding and
managing these stakeholders is critical for the success of the business (Freeman,
2023).
2. Identify the other three Incoterms in this scenario and explain why you selected
FCA.
In this scenario, I have selected the FCA (Free Carrier) Incoterm and the other three
Incoterms and explanations for their inappropriateness are as follows:
a. EXW (Ex Works): This Incoterm would place the maximum responsibility on
Ancaster Automotive Supply to pick up the goods directly from An-Kee Electronics'
premises in Taiwan. Besides, it would require Ancaster to handle all aspects of
transportation, including customs clearance and any potential issues that might
arise during transit (SURARAKSA, AMCHANG, & SAWATWONG, 2020). This
option is inappropriate because Ancaster lacks experience in international
shipping, and it would be challenging to coordinate and manage the logistics
effectively.

7
b. CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight): CIF places the responsibility for all shipping
costs, insurance, and freight on An-Kee Electronics until the goods are delivered
to Ancaster Automotive Supply in Canada. However, this option is not suitable in
this scenario because Ancaster wants more control over transportation, shipping
costs, and potential issues that may arise during transit (LLamazares, 2020).
Additionally, Ancaster prefers to work with their chosen freight forwarder, Yusen
Logistics.
c. DDP (Delivered Duty Paid): DDP requires An-Kee Electronics to take on the
responsibility for all aspects of the shipment, including import duties and taxes
(Davis & Vogt, 2022). Ancaster would have no responsibility for customs clearance
or any other aspects of the import process. Thus, this option is inappropriate
because Ancaster wants to have control over the import process and customs
clearance. It would also make Ancaster reliant on An-Kee Electronics for all
shipping and import-related matters.
The choice of FCA is appropriate in this scenario because it allows Ancaster Automotive
Supply to have control over transportation and customs clearance while leveraging the
services of its preferred freight forwarder, Yusen Logistics. Besides, this Incoterm strikes
a balance between responsibilities and provides Ancaster with the flexibility to manage
the logistics aspect of the shipment while allowing An-Kee Electronics to prepare and load
the goods at their premises.

3.
Identify the interaction group type (5 points) and the supplier interaction model
(5 points) in this scenario and explain why that model best describes the
relationship between An-Kee Electronics and Ancaster Automotive Supply (5
points
).
In this scenario, the interaction group type is Supplier Group which means that Ancaster
Automotive Supply is dealing with a single supplier, An-Kee Electronics Corporation, to
procure semiconductor chips for inventory.
The supplier interaction model that best describes the relationship between An-Kee
Electronics and Ancaster Automotive Supply is the Collaborative Model where both the
buyer and the supplier work closely together to achieve common goals (Lintukangas,
Kähkönen, & Hallikas, 2019). In this case, Ancaster and An-Kee have a mutually
beneficial partnership since Ancaster is looking to source semiconductor chips from An-
Kee Electronics to meet the demand of automobile manufacturers in southwestern
Ontario while An-Kee Electronics, on the other hand, is looking to expand its business in
the North American market. Their goals align as Ancaster is interested in acquiring high-
quality semiconductor chips, and An-Kee is eager to penetrate the Canadian automotive
sector.
The Collaborative Model is appropriate because it involves close cooperation, trust, and
a long-term partnership (Tseng et. al., 2022). For example, Ancaster and An-Kee are
willing to work together to establish a successful business relationship. Besides, Ancaster
has done its due diligence by assessing the quality of An-Kee's products and engaging
with its potential supplier in discussions about the terms of the deal. This demonstrates a

cooperative and mutually beneficial relationship, making the Collaborative Model the most
suitable choice to describe their interaction.

b. Will
Yusen consolidate your order in a 20’ or 40’ ocean container? Why?
To determine if Yusen will consolidate my order in a 20' or 40' ocean container, I need to
calculate the total volume of my order and compare it to the capacity of these containers.
That is the total volume of my order:
Total Volume (cubic meters) = Total Gross Weight (kgs) / Average Density (Assuming an
average density of 400 kg/cubic meter).
For AK-3895733
: 3,190 kg / 400 kg/cubic meter = 7.975 cubic meters; For AK-9937194:
3,190 kg / 400 kg/cubic meter = 7.975 cubic meters and For AK-4274095: 4,284 kg / 400
kg/cubic meter = 10.71 cubic meters
The total volume of my order is 7.975 + 7.975 + 10.71 = 26.66 cubic meters now it is
crucial to determine which container size is appropriate since a 20' container typically has
a capacity of about 33.2 cubic meters while a 40' container typically has a capacity of
about 67.7 cubic meters (Sarmmah, 2023). Besides, since my total order volume is 26.66

cubic meters, it will fit comfortably within a 20' container. Therefore, Yusen will consolidate
my order in a 20' ocean container.
6. Recall the payment terms requested by An-Kee Electronics and answer the
following questions for your opening order:
a. What is the total value of your opening order from An-Kee Electronics in
Taiwanese and Canadian currency?
Total Value in TWD$ = (Qty AK-3895733 * Unit Price AK-3895733) + (Qty AK-9937194 *
Unit Price AK-9937194) + (Qty AK-4274095 * Unit Price AK-4274095).
Total Value in TWD$ = (250,000 * $131.73) + (300,000 * $243.99) + (200,000 * $517.25)
Total Value in TWD$ = $32,932,500 + $73,197,000 + $103,450,000 Total Value in TWD$
= $209,579,500
Total Value in CDN$ = Total Value in TWD$ * Exchange Rate
Total Value in CDN$ = $209,579,500 * 23.6339
Total Value in CDN$ = $8,867,744.54 CDN
b. What value will be shown as payable to An-Kee Electronics on your LC in
Taiwanese and Canadian currency?
An-Kee Electronics requested an LC for 50% of the invoice value. So, the LC value
will be:
LC Value in TWD$ = 0.5 * Total Value in TWD$
LC Value in TWD$ = 0.5 * $209,579,500 = $104,789,750
LC Value in CDN$ = $104,789,750 * 23.6339= $4,435,025.25 CDN
