Education The human race has made significant progress in the past 7 million years. From being cavemen to now being jet-setting futurists, we have come a long way. Today, as we gear up to become a planet of 9 billion people, are we better off than we were millenniums ago? Of course access to the bare necessities of life has never been easier. Shelter electricity, food, and hygiene have considerably improved the quality of our lives. But the one essential element that separates us from the dumb, that helps create better societies, develop virtues, and gives us a sense of freedom—is Education and many around the world are still deprived of it. A big reasonnwhy I want to teach is because I want to give every child an equal opportunity to have a great education. By teaching I want to create an eqal . A big reason I want to teach is to help children believe in themselves so they may take a bigger role in society. . I motivate my students to want to learn without feel like its a chore, while at the same time making sure they reach all the requirements while having fun. I will engage my students in fun activities while engaging them in the learning process making sure they are absorbing the information, and showing them what they can do with the knowledge. By engaging them in the activities they will learn the bigger picture while having fun. In my classroom I show students that there is more than one way to learn activities like reading writing and math. I understand that all students learn differently and will take that into account for all my lessons. To help engage the students in activities that may be boring and meaningless to them, I will help them understand how the subject connects to the real world so they can understand why they are important. Students, like anyone, value their time and should always understand how each and every assignment will shape their learning and how the skills they are practicing have significance in their lives beyond the classroom— to their professional, and personal lives. To prepare and strengthen my students while teaching engaging lessons I use a variety of useful teaching strategies. To engage my students in lessons, one technique I find useful is cooperative learning, which is a great way for children to work on their social skills while also working on their cooperation. My favorite way to teach collaboration is through think-pair-share.
However, the impact of group work can vary widely, and to make it most effective, teachers should focus on well-structured tasks that promote talk and interaction between students. The concept of “competitive” collaborative learning (where groups of students compete against one another) has been shown to have some impact, but caution is advised in case students focus more on the competition rather than the learning. To engage and strengthen my students I use a variety of teaching strategies. To engage my students in lessons, one technique I find useful is “Everybody Writes.” In my classroom, I ask demanding and thought-provoking questions, but these often require time and real reflection on the question to generate the kind of responses I want. Use specific examples of what you do in the classroom. Establish a central point for each paragraph in the first sentence of the paragraph. Here, the student has made it clear that the focus of this paragraph is teaching strategies. In your introduction, state what you feel is the purpose of education. Use the first person (“I,” “me,” and “my” statements) and present
verbs. Within each paragraph, there is a refocus on the teacher’s purpose of education. Your idea about the purpose of education should be a theme that runs through your teaching philosophy statement. 2 Therefore, I ask the question, butI have everyone write down their thoughts on it. Educational theory teaches us that through writing, thinking about one’s own thoughts takes place. This technique of everybody writes allows the students to reflect on their ideas and internal questions and gives them time to explore the question before answering with their first thought. Another technique that I use to build character and trust in my students is “Normalizing Error.” I want my students to know that the classroom is a safe place for exploration of thought. Therefore, I treat wrong answers in the same way I do right answers. Wrong answers are an opportunity for revision rather than a moment to be ashamed or chastised. This allows students to try out answers and engage in learning, not simply knowing. I treat right answers with praise for engaging and understanding the material, but not with flattery. Both right and wrong answers are a part of learning and engaging with those around us. Being right is not as important as engaging in the learning process and engaging with the ideas of others. In my classroom, I see my students grow academically, socially, and emotionally. I see them engage with me and their fellow classmates to build a space where all ideas are valid and where we can explore ideas and knowledge both privately and as a group. My hope is that my students take what they see, hear, and share in my classroom into their communities. This is what drives my teaching style and my passion for teaching.
