Overview This document is a template you can fill out, each week, and resubmit for your Diario assignments. The goal is to treat this a little like a diary, as you will add a little bit to it each week. Week 1 Diario de Práctica: México After researching the Spanish speaking country you chose, describe what you think (or know) you would like and/or dislike in this country. Write 5 entries (can be multiple sentences) in Spanish, applying what you’ve learned. You are expected to use the vocabulary and structures you have been practicing this week by applying the structures shown in the chart in the Diario instructions. 1 En los México me gusta tamales porqué son buenas 2 En Los mexico quiero visitar las termas en Grutas Tolantongo 3 Lo que más me gustó aprender sobre México fue la celebración del Día de Muertos 4 En los México me gusta tacos porqué son buenas 5 Quiero visitar Tulum que se encuentra en México
Week 2 Diario de Práctica: mexico After researching more about the Spanish speaking country you chose, describe what is common in households in that country. Write 5 entries NEW (can be multiple sentences) in Spanish, applying what you’ve learned. You are expected to use the vocabulary and structures you have been practicing this week by applying the structures shown in the chart in the Diario instructions. 1 En mexico es común celebrar dia de los Muertos 2 En México, es importante disfrutar de la rica variedad de la comida mexicana. 3 En México, la música y el baile son partes esenciales de la cultura 4 En México, es importante la familia. 5 En muchas casas mexicanas, es necesario tener un altar dedicado a los seres queridos que han fallecido.
Week 3 Diario de Práctica: Replace this with name of chosen country Now that you have more information about the Spanish speaking country you chose, use the vocabulary and structures you have been practicing this week in order to describe “la comunidad” (community) in the country that you are researching. You are expected to apply the structure shown in the chart in the Diario instructions. Choose a specific community first. The community can be a city, or recognized region (such as, in Spain, the city of Madrid or the region of Andalucía). Write 5 NEW entries (can be multiple sentences) in Spanish describing life in a typical home and/or community within your chosen community. At this point, you should have enough of a vocabulary to pick and choose the right words to convey your meaning. Make sure you are using different verbs, nouns and adjectives for each entry. The entries should align to the same topic as much as possible so that they work together to inform a larger sense of what is in this community (for instance, the community’s historical sites). 1 En una comunidad en México, hay una casa pintoresca y colorida.
