Umakes the GCU academic experience different then at a non-faith-based university? What value will this difference add
to your educational experience?
GCU academic experience is different than non-faith-based university because their mission is to
instill a sense of vocational calling and purpose in our students. It prepares us to serve God in all
aspects of our career. Whereas a non-faith-based university's mission is to educate the student
and give them the skill and mindset to perform in their field of learning. GCU has a culture that
constantly encourages a welcoming spirit allowing individuals to openly express themselves
freely; it accommodates diverse cultures, races, ethnicities, nationalities, and beliefs while
maintaining its core principles.
In the academic experience here GCU's mission will add to my educational experience by not
only providing me with the necessary tools I need to be a teacher but help me to deepen my faith.
It will allow me to see my career from a. It has already had me reflecting on myself as an
individual. Allowing me to think about the person I want to be as an educator and an advocator
for my student. The difference I want to display to the upcoming future leaders.
