Part C
In this lesson, you learned about the people who helped shape the Renaissance. In your
opinion, who was the most important person of the Renaissance?
Answer:
reI believe Leonardo da Vinci and William Shakespeare made huge contributions to the Renaissance. But if
I had to choose one, I would go with Shakespeare.
Shakespeare’s works also have a wide appeal—they continue to be popular today. Their relatable themes
and characters make them suitable for modern interpretations and adaptations in mediums such as film,
television, and theater. Shakespeare’s works have also inspired many works of art.
Shakespeare also gave us many words and phrases that we still use today, such as "gloomy" and “heart of
gold.”
