Module 12 Journal Entry As I reflect on my last couple of weeks at my Field Experience: A. How did you make a difference in someone's life or in the organization? As a church intern, I made a big difference in people's spiritual and emotional well-being. I assisted in setting up and running weekly support groups where people may confide in one another, find solace, and reaffirm their religious beliefs. The emotional and spiritual well-being of many people was enhanced by this program, and the feeling of community and mutual support inside the church was strengthened. B. What are you struggling with or have questions about? The event planning and organizing process is difficult, and I've struggled to find my way through the maze. Balancing the different requirements of our congregation with the practical difficulties of organizing events has been a continuous source of conflict. In addition, I've been thinking about how we might make our activities more welcoming and accessible to all members of the community. C. What do you need to do to resolve the struggle you mentioned in (B) above, or what do you need assistance with? I'm excited to consult with my Faculty/Site Supervisor and seasoned church ministry colleagues for advice on how to plan and carry out this event. Collaborating with seasoned experts will give significant insights into handling varied expectations and developing events that connect with the whole community. For my part, I'd want to learn more about event management so that I can help our church's projects succeed. D. In your last Supervision Session, what did you take away from your Faculty/Site Supervisor and your classroom/site colleagues?
My Faculty/Site Supervisor stressed the need of catering to the varying needs of the congregation at our most recent Supervision Meeting. Clear communication and deliberate preparation were recognized as crucial components of successful event management. My coworkers there offered their insights on planning events that welcome all attendees and encourage them to feel at home in the group. The discussion emphasized the value of adaptability and originality in the face of difficulties encountered in church ministry.
