Descriptive Essay On A Trip
The art studies–at–large trip has been a once in a lifetime trip. From a twenty–four hour plane trip
with a stop in Chicago and time zone change, it has been an exhausting yet enjoyable time running
around with my classmates in the airport. Being in a different country and experiencing a new
culture first hand was astonishing and gave me a new outlook of the beauties in the world. From
Montone, Florence
, Venice, and Rome I had the ultimate trip in Italy
. The food, language, and
culture were different from what I was used to but it was worth the experience. I was not fond of
drinking wine with every dinner though the wine was delicious. I had the best pastas, tiramisus, and
coffees while I was in Italy. The art was beautiful; it was breathtaking to see how many free
artworks was there for the public. After being in Italy for about a month I can see why people are
attracted and want to live in Italy. Montone is a beautiful, peaceful, and friendly town. I enjoyed the
walk to town, the covenant, Aries Café, the tavern restaurant, and the town's people. I had the best
cappuccino and coffee at Aries and I loved every dish I ate at the tavern restaurant. The view from
the covenant was beautiful and works perfectly for a painting. Getting around town was easy with
everyone being so nice and helpful. The piazza was a great place to hang out because of friendly the
environment was and it was the main spot in town where everyone stayed. Getting a chance to draw

Descriptive Essay About A Hero
When talking about a hero, some people might think of a veteran, a fire fighter, or even superman.
The definition of the word "hero" varies between different people; however, my definition of a hero
is someone who is selfless, brave, and strong. Someone who doesn't runaway when things get hard,
who gives their all just for the wellbeing of others regardless of the strain it puts on themselves.
When thinking of the word "hero" the only person who comes to my mind is my cousin Cassy.
Cassy fits my own personal description of a hero; she is selfless, brave, and strong. She doesn't run
away when things get tough and most importantly, she looks out for others no matter what the
situation is. What is a hero to you? On September 24th of 2017, my parents, along with my sister
and I, walked into my grandma's house around three o'clock in the afternoon. My aunt Patty had told
us she had very important news for us to hear that evening. As we sat down in the living room of my
grandma's small condo, everybody looked at one another awkwardly waiting for someone to speak
first. My mom started the conversation by asking how long my aunt was going to be in town. My
aunt slightly teared up as she tried to spit out her response. She began to tell us that she was actually
moving back home to Fargo from the farm place her and her boyfriend lived at near Devils Lake.
My aunt started to stutter after a while and then finally blurted out the sentence that nobody ever
wants to hear come from a loved

Descriptive Essay Final The downtown metropolis can be a complex place, and some may need to
become accustomed to it. It is Five O' Clock in the afternoon. The sun is starting to drag itself lower,
dimming the landscape, leaving a majestic orange on the horizon. The towering structures above
leave enormous shadows on the people below. Car horns ring and sirens pulse, as the people make
haste towards there destinations, rushing aggressively as if though it is a race. The end of the work
day has just began. The craze is unique from anywhere else. An endless flow of people and vehicles

Lush, green trees are everywhere. Every house and small business seems to have one or two of
them. The car makes it's way down a small street, with old fashioned houses. The car comes to a halt
in front of a beautiful tan house. The house feels cozy. The tan painted planks of wood stack up until
they reach the charcoal shingles of the rooftop. Two enormous windows are on the front of the
house, with fine, white curtains that can be seen hanging from them on the other side. On the left
side of a house there is a large chimney, which gives the house a traditional look with it's brown and
red bricks. In the front yard of the house there is a smooth, clean concrete walkway to the front door,
surrounded by many bushes, and flowers; trimmed perfectly. This house is well kept, and it stands
out as a beauty in the neighborhood. The man walks up his paved walkway, and into the house
through a large white door, with four small windows on it, and a cross like pattern beneath them.
The doors gives of the look as if it is an entryway to heaven. The house is peaceful. Only the birds
chirping in the trees can be heard. And as the man enters his house excited children raise there
voices, "Daddy Daddy!". This family man is

Descriptive Essay About Being A Woman
It was a frigid Tuesday morning, dim light of the sun was shining from millions of miles away
brightening my day with its sparkling lights. I walked to my 76 years old grandma (Maya) house
through thin and spiky grass, giving me an unbearable feeling in my foot. As I got to my grandma's
house looking pale and a goof with cold frosty air coming out of my mouth, ringing the bell on her
door, she finally opened it. Then, she gave a tight hug with a big surprise in her face of the joy of
seeing me after a month. Her squeeze gave a feeling of warmth where I lost track of my self–feeling
safe and comfortable like a perfect dream. It had melted all my stress and gave me a calm
atmosphere of delights. As I enter her dark and cozy room, seeing many traditional types of
furniture, it had made me feel like I was living my life in the old days. Her bed felt super soft like
clouds, and I could not help myself sitting on that bed and talking with her about her life
experiences as being a woman
. As we sat, she asked, "So, what brings you here today after so long?"
I was in excitement to see myself through her words of her life experiences from her childhood. As I
asked her many questions that involved gender roles of being a woman, she looked serious with a
question mark on her face. We pause for seconds; it was dead quiet, and all I could hear is the tick–
tock of an old cranking sound of a clock. She then responded, "Being a girl, I lived in a farm–like
house, it was a muddy and dirtiest place that no one can imagine living in there today." Her response
had made me terrified because of the description of the condition and the environment she had lived
during her childhood. "My brothers had gone to school while I stay home with my mother helping
her do chores and clean up animals stool, the worst smell God ever had created." she continued,
with shame on her face. I was angrily surprised to hear how much differentiate her family kept in the
gender role of her being a female. In my life, I have never experienced or seen such a dreadful
situation like how my grandma did. Afterward, being not able to attend school had affected her
entire life.
While attending school was not a priority for her because of the stereotypes of

Descriptive Paragraph About My Family
My mom's name is Lisa and she was a PTA but is now a stay at home mom. My dad's name is Luis
and he was a chemical and nuclear engineer, but now owns his own business. I have 3 sisters: Angie,
Silencia, and Mahalia. I also have 3 brothers: Matthias, Geminiah, and Elshaddai. Angie works with
my dad to eventually take over the family business. The rest of my siblings are in school except for
Elshaddai who is only 3. My family expects me to be a good example to my younger siblings and
encourage them. To do this they also expect me to do well in school and in athletics. My mom is a
very outgoing, loud, and energetic person. My dad is also very outgoing and loud, but he has more
of a serious side to him. Angie is really fun, but she also has a more relaxed personality. Mahalia is
very loud, active, and argumentative. Silencia is the most soft–spoken and relaxed out of everyone.
Matthias is very outgoing, loud, and active. Geminiah and Elshaddai are both loud and very active. I
have good relationships with everyone in my family. I do have small disagreements with my siblings
sometimes, but we all love each other a lot. I had a very unusual childhood, but it was still fun. My
childhood was unusual because it involved a lot of training but that's what we did together as a
family, and growing up I had friends that did the same thing and we all enjoyed it.
In grade school I competed in a lot of powerlifting meets and got to travel all over the country to
break world records. I missed

Descriptive Essay About My Sister
If you took one look at my sister, your first thought would be "bubbly" My sister is about one of the
most bubbly people you can imagine. Her physical appearance even shows it: tiny, blonde, innocent
eyes, and a huge smile. Its as if you were to look up bubbly in the dictionary and there would be a
picture of her just smiling, almost skipping along, and even blowing bubbles. Within seconds of
meeting my sister, you can tell how extremely outgoing she is because of the way she presents
herself. Its that bubbly huge personality that has given me confidence and reassurance to be who I
am. My sister doesn't care what others are thinking about her. She is able to always make it seem as
if she is so happy. "Happiness is the only way to survive!" she always exclaims to me.
But behind that extremely outgoing and bubbly personality is the most determined person I know.
My sister's work ethic is easily the most inspirational thing about her. My most vivid memory of a
demonstration this is one particular day when I came home from my practice to find my sister sitting
on her bed in an organized mess of papers. For hours, she sat there just writing, reading, and
emailing so many things
. Even after I finished everything I was doing, I still saw her sit there trying
to get everything done. What amazed me about this is no matter how much yelling and chaos
surrounded her, still she sat, because she had an incredible drive to finish everything.
Although my sister is constantly busy with school, one of the greatest things about her is that she
knows how to find a balance. Even with all the stress in her life she knows exactly how to have a
little fun. As I was laying on my bed one day just trying to finish up some school work late at night
after coming home from theater, my sister pulled me up and dragged me out of bed. When I moaned
"What are you even doing?" she _ to me "Dance! Just dance!". So being the confident person she
was, she turned on music and just started dancing as if she had no care in the world. Lori grabbed
my arms, forcing them to move, once again she hollered "Dance!". Its this moment that reminds me
that it is absolutely necessary to find a balance of work and fun. For my sister, her balance is five

Descriptive Essay About Myself
I find it extremely tough to talk about myself and my personal traits. In order for me to dIscuss who
I am in an accurate manner then I must provide some basic background information on myself and
talk about the Environment I grew up in. This way people can get a better understanding of why I
am the way I am. My Background is so essential In making me myself because If I had been born
under any different circumstances or grew up any differently I would be a different person than I am
today. I was born in Aberdeen Scotland but raised in Fort Bend County Texas. Aberdeen and Fort
Bend both have great opportunities but differ in many ways. One way in which they differ is that
Fort Bend is very culturally diverse while in Aberdeen most of

Her family communicates to one another using spanish or sometimes english. I have always grown
up in a family that speaks only english so I find it interesting to go over to other people's houses and
hear them communicating in another language. On top of all of this meeting different people has
also opened my mind to new ideas. For example, in school when we work in group projects we
collaborate and communicate with people who think differently than us then work together to figure
out whose ideas will work the best and how to improve them.
Another factor that plays a part in why I am shaped how I am is my family's economic
circumstances. I have always had access to anything I needed and for that I have extreme gratitude
because I know some people have a lot of difficulty in life. Since I was born into a family with such
good economic circumstances I have been lucky to have lots of opportunities. One Opportunity I
had as a child was participating in taekwondo. I did taekwondo until I reached a blackbelt which
took years of hardwork and dedication. I had to memorize forms, Spar with other competitors and
break boards in order to continue to move up to the next level. Taekwondo also helped keep me in
good shape and fit when I was younger. Another Opportunity I am grateful for is the skill of playing
the piano. At first I was not all that enthusiastic about playing it but my parents has signed me up
and insisted I

Descriptive Essay About My Mother
No matter how hard life gets for me and how chaotic things can become there has always been one
person that I can turn to, my mom. She's been a wealth of advice to call on when I'm clueless and a
shoulder to cry on when I'm down. Her compassion for others inspires me to be a better person as
does the guidance she has given me over the years. She's not afraid to give me a reality check and to
tell me the things I don't want to hear even though I need to. She keeps me grounded and teaches me
to appreciate the smaller things in life. Even though my dad was still involved in my life after my
parents split up it was my mother who I primarily lived with and it was her who had the greatest
influence on my life growing up. Anyone who has known my

Heaven help you if you do anything to endanger her family. My mom also does not go soft on her
kids; she can be a formidable disciplinarian when she wants to and will not hesitate to set us straight
when we broke the rules. She won't let anybody walk over her and is really quick to anger if you try.
My mother is strong–willed and stubborn; when she sets her mind to something almost nothing will
stop her and what an impossible feat it is to change her mind on something. She is very impatient;
when she wants something done she wants it done at this very moment, no later. She is idealistic and
she enjoys the simpler things that life has to offer. She loves nature and would love nothing more
than to be living in a cabin in the mountains while listening to country music. She does not pay
much attention to news happening outside her local area and prefers to focus on what's happening in
her immediate area. From my mother I have learned how to be the person that I am today. Through
her I have learned the importance of family and that it is paramount to spend time with them while I
still have it. Even now I try to spend time with my family when I have the opportunity to. Form her I
have learned compassion for those around me and for animals. Even

Filled with excitement and joy I began to fill my suitcase, overloading with clothing that I most
likely will not wear. A I finish my exaggerated packing I heard a thumping sound of knocks at the
front door. I hurriedly squish everything and make my way to the door only to be greeted by Ely's
joyful expression. Once we manage to pack our things in the trunk we head off to the airport. Once
at the airport were greeted with our growling tummies ready to devour. We have fifteen minutes
before our flight leaves, we quickly rush and get in line to the subway station. When ordering I
could see all the available sets of nutritional vegetables. The scent of sweet coffee filled my nostrils
from the Starbucks station next to the subway. Once are meals our set we quickly stuff our hungry
faces and hear a loud announcement that our flight was to depart in 10 minutes. When seated I tried
to manage my tangles hair and off we were to our vacation in Honduras. Once, we reached the end
of our flight we were met with the difficulty of finding our bags, once we did we excitedly made our
way to the exit. As soon as we stepped outside the scent of good cooked meted melted in our minds.
Immediately our attention zoomed into the busy streets overcrowding with people. It was midday

Descriptive Essay About Memories
Our lives are filled with many favorable memories, but only the best ones are formed when we gain
something from them. A great memory that I have is when I went to my first concert in Richmond
with my friend, Ciana, in March of 2017. This concert is one of my best memories because it taught
me how fun life can be, no matter how wild it may become.
My friend and I aren't wild people, but we do like to randomly plan crazy things. Ciana randomly
messaged me one month before and asked if I wanted to go see this band in March. With a why not
attitude, I agreed to go. I wasn't dying to see the band live, but I did enjoy their music. There was
three other bands playing at that concert, but I wasn't familiar with any of them. Becoming

To our left, there were stands where you could buy shirts. Since they weren't busy, we decided to
give the tall vender forty bucks for two of the band's tour t–shirts. It was a quick interaction, so we
still had plenty of time left. We figured we would go ahead and wait in the medium sized crowd.
The only part of the room that was well lit, was the stage
. As we patiently waited, the variety of
bright colors danced across the stage. Slowly, more people came in and filled the crowd area in the
room. The stage and band equipment was set up by these men who paced across the stage. As we
waited for what seemed like eternity, time slowly stretched like finely rolled out dough. Finally, the
lights went out, and the first band came on stage.
The entire crowd screamed as loud as they can. The lights came back on and the first band comes
out. As we are enjoying the music we're listening to, the singer asks the crowd to make a moshpit.
Instantly, everybody is pushing to the perimeters of the crowd area in order to make a clear space.
Forming right next to where my friend and I are standing, the mosh pit errupted. It was very rough
to stand on the outer edge of the moshpit, but thankfully, this tall guy was our savior as he blocked
us from the tornado of bodies within the moshpit. Slowly, we pushed ourselves away from the
moshpit and towards the stage. At this point, my arm had already formed a bruise from the

opposite sides. On one side there is room for two closets with long mirrors that are used as doors.
Between the two beds on the side opposite the closets are two desks that are covered with papers,

from home. The room represents the collection of all the objects I thought important enough to bring
with me to college so in a way it is me. Having to limit myself to only taking a certain amount of
things from my home forces me to distill my priorities and interests. I have to figure out what my
favorite shirts are, my favorite books, what decorations look the best, what color I want my sheets to

combination of my chosen traits, building into my college identity. Because of my familiarity with

Descriptive Essay About My Family
My Cozy Home A home is a place where you have lived with your family for so long that it has, in a
sense, become a part of you. It can be a structure, a neighborhood, a state or a country. In my case,
when I think of home, I initially think of a building, my house. My home, however, is much more
than just a house to me. It is also the place where I am always sure to find those I love most, my
family. In a generation where there are so many broken homes, I am fortunate to live with and be
raised by two parents, who still love each other. I have two older sisters, Sabreena and Trinity, and a
dog, a poodle named Puffs. I live in a quaint, four bedroom house in a subdivision called
Steeplechase in Avondale, Louisiana. My house is a place of safety and refuge. My neighborhood is
full of friendly, familiar faces. I have been smiling, waiving and occasionally talking to these friends
and acquaintances since we moved here when I was just two years old. Growing up in this
environment has, I'm sure, contributed to certain character and personality traits, which have made
me who I am today. I am ultimately a trusting individual, who is both friendly and hospitable. You
can learn much about a person simply by walking through their home. For example, if you walk
through my house, you would instantly notice framed Bible verses, decorative crosses, inspirational
sayings and a trophy case, filled with different types of past accomplishments. In our living room,
there is a

Descriptive Personal Experience Essay
I was in my room listening to music. My room would normally have a very serene feeling to it. My
room had a beautiful dream catcher hanging on the wall and there was also a very big window that
made it possible for me to see the moon every night. I always felt very relaxed in my room, but that
day I could hear the screaming and arguing between my mom and my dad in the background. It was
horrible. I could feel my eyes starting to water because I hated hearing my parents fight. The
fighting and arguing continued for days. On one evening I could hear the voices of my parents
arguing with my brothers. I was in my room as always and I started to feel room getting really hot.

"No, I mean I don't know I just haven 't been feeling too great emotionally i guess.", I responded in a
very little voice because I thought that maybe she would think that I was crazy. Once I said that my
mom stopped folding all of the laundry.
"Since when?", my mom asked with a very surprised tone.
"Maybe like 3 months.", I responded. "What! Three months why didn't you tell me".
" I didn't tell you because I thought you wouldn't understand.", I said in a tone that almost sounded
annoyed, which I think I might have been.
" I think you should go to the doctor.", she told me. I didn't want to go to the doctor, but I knew that
it would most likely help me. A couple days later I went to the doctor and he just asked me a bunch
of questions. One of the questions was, what did it feel like to have an anxiety attack. That was
probably one of the hardest questions i had ever had to answer. I couldn 't find the right words to
describe how it felt. As he kept asking me questions he would write things down. I couldn't help but
wonder what he was writing down. I would keep having the thought that maybe he was writing
down all of the bad things. After the doctor stopped talking to me he started to talk to my mom
about ways to help

A Descriptive Essay : The Man
The Man The green grass has nothing on his beautiful, emerald eyes. The soft smiles he gives me in
the hallways light up the world. A face like heaven, but with a jawline so sharp it could cut your
fingers. The way his muscles tense when I rub his arms after a long, sweaty day of baseball is like
holding a bowling ball. Messing with his fluffy hair is like cotton candy I could tear into everyday.
The noises he makes are so crazy they become comforting. His smell is very unique, just like a cozy
house on a winter day. A mammoth's heart is non comparable to how big of a heart he has for the
ones he loves. I get a delightful tingly sensation when his manly, but modulated voice speaks to me
on the phone at night. No Channing Tatum can compare how handsome he looks in my eyes. The
flirtation winks he gives me while walking to the dugout when he sees me looking at him. When I
look at him I see a beautiful person inside and out. The way he laughs, you'd think we were at a
comedy show. Hearing him laugh until he's crying is the best feeling you get in your body that just
brightens your day and all you can do is just stare and admire him. The warm, soft hugs he gives is
like laying in a freshly made bed after everything has been washed. His eyes dilate every time he
looks at me and you can just see the happiness in his eyes. When he holds my hand in stores it's like
having my own personal guardian angel taking me towards the right way in life. He cares so much
about what I want

Descriptive Personal Experience Essay
So, there I sat, seat G4 on the train headed to nowhere. I didn't have a destination; I never really did.
I guess that's just the type of person I was, someone who just hopped on a train for the ride. I always
liked trains. I don't know what it was about them, but for some reason or another, I always found
myself lounging in the same spot drinking hot cocoa. People always said that hot chocolate "was
only for kids" but I never got that; I had a pretty strong distaste for coffee. Honestly, I hate it, the
way it makes your teeth gritty to the point where you need something else to drink. I can't even
enjoy a cup unless it's lighter than my own skin tone, which, by the way
, is pretty pale. I mean I
wouldn't call myself pasty but... Anyhow, it

My mother raised me right, so I understood how wrong this was, but don't worry, nothing I had been
thinking was going to leave my thick skull. Most of the people on the train were older women with
their children, but next to me was a man
. His eyes, like mine, matched his hair in blackness.
However creepy, I always found this feature refreshing, in the way that one finds a black cat. I
named this man Frank and created a story for him when another man caught my eye. It was his coat.
It was an expensive Ted Baker peacoat which was impressive for how young he was. I worked out
frequently and could tell by his body that he had been skipping leg day. His chest, however, was
ridiculously huge, almost as if it wasn't even real. My eyes drifted towards the right of the train. I
began to critique a young blonde when the man with the jacket began to walk in my direction. He
was walking fast, darting straight to the bathroom when his coat flap floated up. I couldn't believe
what I saw; it looked like a homemade bomb strapped to his chest. Spending the next few minutes
convincing myself that what I just saw wasn't what I thought it was, I began to panic. Next thing I
know, he's busting out of the bathroom with a gun and I was forced to prepare for what was going to
happen next. It didn't take long for everybody on the train to panic. It rushed through each row as
the sobs and cries made their way to every passenger. It was an orchestra of agony and it

Descriptive Essay About My Best Friend
There is always that one person that you have that knows all of your secrets, shares all of your jokes,
listens to all of your gossip and is simply someone you can call your best friend. I live with that
person, or at least I used to. Her name is Allison, my sister and my best friend. Looking back at
every single memory I have, she is there in some form or fashion. She is there holding my hand my
first day of preschool, wearing the same jean jacket as I because our mom loved it when we
matched. She is there on the basketball court with me during my very first game, helping calm my
nerves and stop my shaking. She is there holding me while I cry over my first heartbreak, reassuring
me that things will get better. Even after she graduated, leaving me in high school alone, she is still
there. She is at every game cheering me on from the stands and is always willing to help me with
things such as homework or listen to my constant rants about teachers.
I remember waking up every morning at 6:45 to the horrible shrill of country music blaring in the
bathroom that we shared, as Allison got ready for the day ahead. Now, the bathroom is quiet because
she is no longer there. She shares a different bathroom with a different person who now gets the
rude awakening every morning that I would die to have back. She emptied her dresser, cleaned off
her desk and took down all her pictures a few months ago, August 12th to be exact. The best day of
her life was the worst day of mine, her

In fact, nature appears in its best form. It provides us with all kinds of pleasure.
Other things that I also love about spring are those smells that are widespread in nature. The air is
fresh and full of pleasant aromas of different flowers. When I am walking in the fields or any other
place during spring time, my noses catch a mixture of smells that really increases my strong love for
nature.
I will now say I am absolutely calm when I am listening, feeling, smelling, and looking at the spring
around me. Spring is my favourite season, and nature when it is spring is relaxing and comfortable.
The earth wears a green dress. Again it comes to life.

Descriptive Essay About Personal Experience
Fear, guilt, happiness, and anger are emotions which individuals can be struck with at the most
unexpected time, but as human beings, we have experienced all of these feelings a plethora of times
over the course of life. Emotions and feelings are the results of one's actions that lead to situations.
The way an individual acts, speaks, or even discerns can lead to circumstances and ultimately
trigger emotions, which in the end, possibly provide you with a valuable lesson.
The glorious summer of 2008 resulted from the sun and air's collaboration to fulfill my desire to
have balmy weather. The trees composedly swayed while the neighborhood kids played and giggled
around them, and their parents prepared for work. In the midst of this, I woke

I got very restless as she opened for business, since I didn't know how to spend my time, I lead my
feet to the coolers located on the far opposite side of the checkout area that were filled with different
types of waters and juices. Although I was tempted to pick out a juice, I chose a strawberry flavored
water, and I decided to save the juice for later. With my drink, I happily walked to the candy aisle
that was in between the tobacco and cigarette aisles. My eyes couldn 't locate the KitKat wafers, my
all–time favorite chocolate bar. As a result, I dragged myself back to the comfort of my chair empty
handed. I felt like a sportsperson who just came home defeated from a championship game. My eyes
ogled at the rack, from a great distance, while my heart wept and yearned for the treat. My mind, the
biggest asset of my body, told my muscles to reevaluate the aisle. With a small ray of hope buried
deep in my heart, I swiftly and carefully ran to the rack and inspected the candies again. The
nervousness on my face made me lethargic as I inspected each of the boxes of candies. After a
thorough investigation, I finally found a large box filled with the sweet and savory Kitkats hiding on
the bottom shelf of the rack. My over excited heart started celebrating, while my mind remembered
to seek permission. With my childlike innocence, I approached my mom and asked her by faking a
naive look,
