Module Two Question 1 Describe one of the beliefs and values of the Navajo as illustrated in your readings. The Navajo believed in settling matters by talking them out. When a topic needs to be discussed the community gathers and has civilized conversations to settle things. Module Two Question 2 Describe one way in which the Navajo have incorporated their beliefs and values into the societal structure on the reservation since regaining some autonomy in the 1970's. The Navajo value their traditional/herbal medication and it is still widely used. But as modern medications are becoming popular, it also being used in the Navajo. Module Two Question 3 What beliefs and values can be found in your culture? How do these beliefs and values influence your day-to-day life? In my Yoruba culture, we also believe strongly in traditional and modern medication. Till today many people (including my family) use a herbal medication called Ogun jedi jedi (medication for too much sugar intake). Traditional medications have been traced several decades ago with Yoruba people, its apart of our culture, and people bring their children up drinking them. Module Two Question 4 Adopt the social science perspective to create a list of questions about this issue. Write at least two questions each from the point of view of a psychologist, a sociologist, and an anthropologist. 1. Do culture or environmental factors have a high impact on work and life balance? 2. How does an unhealthy/healthy balance have on mental health? 3. Does a healthy work/life depend on the type of environment you live in? 4. Can our social factors affect our work/life balance? 5. Are environmental factors influenced by culture?
6. Are the work/life balance different from the work/life balance in the past?
