INSERT SHORT TITLE 2
Your Title Needs to Reflect the Case Study Experience and Content Discussed
Following the title is the introduction (do not write “Introduction” as header), which is a presentation of the central idea of the paper and a reference to the literature base that the paper is part of. Tells the reader who this child/youth is, providing a pseudonym (if this is a real child/youth), and introducing the reader to this person you’ve observed and to the setting of the observation (e.g., virtual tutoring at Kids Count, in-person volunteering at the Y) go more in-depth in family background. Paint a picture of the child/youth and lay the foundation for the paper.
Method
Participant
In this section, you will share information about this child/youth that you have been observing. E.g., cultural background if known, other descriptive characteristics and demographics you know that did
not get mentioned in the intro--age, grade, height, weight, developmental characteristics, attachment style, temperament traits, (problematic and positive, e.g., ADHD, autism spectrum, typically developing, gifted?). Cover in 1 sentence each concept-- temperament (one of the four categories), attachment (Ainsworth), physical development, cognitive stage (Piaget), and social-emotional stage of development (Erikson). You may include any elements from any of the phases that you have written about this semester. You may choose to rearrange your paper to include some information here and other information (about your child/youth) in the Discussion section (see below). Discussion

Limitations
What are the limitations associated with your child/youth in the following areas? Discuss them in
a succinct manner. An example of a limitation is how long a person’s legs are to be able to leap over a hurdle in track. If a person has long legs, it’s therefore, not a limitation for them to leap over a hurdle. However, if a person has short or shorter legs, then it would be a limitation for them to leap over the same hurdle. Temperament Attachment Physical development
Cognitive development
Social-emotional development
Obstacles
What are the obstacles associated with your child/youth? Discuss them in a succinct manner. Obstacles are things that your child/youth must “overcome”. An example is running over a hurdle in track. It’s something that may be difficult for some, easy for others, however, it is something that with practice, we can all leap over a hurdle. Conclusion
Restate who this child/youth is —what has been learned from all the observations. Do not restate the discussion section--summarize the information instead. Do not overstate what you found.

INSERT SHORT TITLE 4
Don’t reach beyond what you’ve included in this paper. You will also make recommendations for the future for this child/youth. (Insert page break to ensure references begin on a new page).
References
Use APA style referencing. Works cited are in alphabetical order. Only cite the work you included in the in-text citations. There should be no work cited here that does not appear in the textual citations. Hanging indents are used for each citation – see page 58.
You are required to include Minimum
8 peer-reviewed, scholarly journal articles, which are separate from these other types of references, which are NOT peer reviewed or considered scholarly. ●
References can include: journal articles, Berk (our class text book) references, curtail online resources (.org, or .gov are acceptable) to 2-3 references, curtail all social media references (blog-style, e.g., from non-profit websites) to a maximum of 2-3 references, curtail all personal communications to maximum of 3 references. ●
Be Mindful!! .gov and .org are not
necessarily peer-reviewed by scholarly standards. A lot of nonprofits have “blog” style information that is easy to digest, but is not peer reviewed or scholarly. ●
Remember, personal communications ONLY appear in the text, never in the reference section.
