 Does the lesson support student development across content areas? Lesson plan does develop cross content of math and reading. Also could be used in writing with something to have them write or trace.  Is the lesson developmentally appropriate for the students in the class? The lesson plan is a great developmentally appropriate for the kindergarten classroom. I do like that Kyra utilized what standards we were working on and what theme (animal habitats) to develop a lesson on something we were working on. She also did a great job using the learned targets for the week in this lesson.  Does the lesson meet the diverse needs of the students in the class? I did make some recommendations on how she can approve this lesson to meet more diverse needs. Some of those recommendations were to have some paper with cutting already cut or some papers with allowing the children the opportunity to cut. Reflection When making this lesson, I wanted to do a lesson on what learning targets were that week. I did discuss with my mentor teacher about how I could support students learning that week of learning targets or standards. That is how I created the lesson. She gave me some recommendations on how I can make it more diverse for students’ needs. Due to everyone being at different levels, having a small group to support those who may need more one-on-one instruction. There was also a recommendation that I need to make it more diverse by making it more challenging for others and some for the average learners. Part of it is to make some with the pieces already cut out and some with the pieces that they cut out. Honestly, making this lesson plan really helped me to get an idea of how to apply diverse

learning lessons in my future profession. I always thought that you would make a lesson to meet the average class and support those who would struggle. I didn’t think about supporting students in lessons that are more advanced the others. After talking with mentor teacher, it is extremely important to have the kids who are more advanced was to challenged or more work, because if not they could end up with behaviors because they are bored.
