Interpretation :
Some characteristics of a good chemical demonstration must be explained.
Concept Introduction :
A chemical demonstration is a proof or example of some properties of a substance.
Answer to Problem 1E
A good chemical demonstration must be an exhibition or presentation to draw interest of chemists.
Explanation of Solution
Through chemical demonstration the various properties of chemical substances are presented. The presentation must be easily understood and self explanatory. There must be visual changes as many as possible because visual changes can be understood easily. It can be color change of solutions, evolution of colored gas, generation of characteristic sound or production of chemicals or gases with particular smell. Visual changes also help to explain a concept or property of some substances. These types of demonstrations can be correlated easily with the associated theory. All the precautions and safety measurement must be explained in the chemical demonstrations.
