Introduction: A firearm is a weapon that is designed to wound or kill which is readily used by an individual. Firearms are of two types, handguns and long guns. Handguns such as pistols are fired by holding it in hand and long guns such as rifles are fired by resting on the shoulder. The main function of a firearm is to load and fire at the target. The identification of firearm includes analyzing bullets and cartridges from the crime scene.
