The point at which liquid, solid and vapor exists at equilibrium is known as the triple point. When heat is required to change the 1 mole of a substance from solid to gas at a standard temperature and pressure is known as enthalpy of sublimation.

When heat is required to change the 1 mole of a substance from liquid to gas at a standard temperature and pressure is known as enthalpy of vaporization.

When heat is required to change the 1 mole of a substance from solid to liquid at a standard temperature and pressure is known as enthalpy of vaporization.
