Introduction: The vertebral column forms the vertebral axis of the skeleton, and it extends from the skull to the pelvis. It is composed of vertebrae that are separated by intervertebral discs, and they are connected to each other through the ligaments. The vertebral column protects the spinal cord and supports the head and trunk of the body.
