Concept introduction:

When a substance changes from solid-state to liquid-state, there is a change in phase and the point at which it starts melting, is said to be melting point. Then molecules that were orderly arranged gets a little bit disoriented and it takes the shape of the container.

When a substance in liquid form is heated, it converts to the liquid state and the point at which it starts converting to vapor is termed as boiling point. This molecular bond breaks off and the molecules start to move freely.
