Concept introduction: Myosin proteins are those which bind on to actin microfilaments of the cell cytoskeleton. They play an important role in muscle contraction and cytokinesis. Myosin is an important motor protein associated with the muscle contraction and motility. Myosin requires ATP for proper functioning. They have an ATPase subunit.
