Calculation:

Dimensions of flower garden is $12\text{ft}\times \text{10}\text{ft}$ .

Scale is $0.5\text{in}=2\text{ft}$ .

Make a scale drawing.

Length of garden on the paper is

  $12\text{ft}\times \frac{0.5\text{in}}{2\text{ft}}=3\text{in}$

Width of garden on the paper is

  $10\text{ft}\times \frac{0.5\text{in}}{2\text{ft}}=2.5\text{in}$
