To analyze:
The reason for water’s polarity and the effects of polarity.
Introduction:
Polarity is a division of electric charge prompting a particle or its chemical groups having an electric dipole second, with a negatively charged end and a positively charged end.

Explanation of Solution
Polar particles must contain polar bonds because of a distinction in electronegativity between the bonded atoms.
Polarity of water | |
Reason of polarity | Effect of polarity |
Water is a polar because of the electrons of the hydrogen atoms get "pulled" towards the electrons of the oxygen atom. This makes a region of positive charge on the hydrogen particles and the negative charge on the other end of the molecule, which is the oxygen atom.
Due to difference in electronegativity of hydrogen and oxygen, oxygen pulls electron and gains slight negative charge | Polarity makes water a good solvent, gives it the ability to stick to itself (cohesion), stick to other substances (adhesion), and have surface tension (due to hydrogen bonding). |

The researcher chooses randomly 400 women to participate in this experiment for 9 months of their pregnancy period. They all need to have the same diet. The researcher designs two groups of 200 participants: One group take the real medication intended to reduce heartburn, while the other group take placebo medication. In this study what are: Independent variable: Dependent variable: Control variable: Experimental group: " Control group: If the participants do not know who is consuming the real pills and who is consuming the sugar pills. This study is It happens that 40% of the participants do not find the treatment helpful and drop out after 6 months. The researcher throws out the data from subjects that drop out. What type of bias is there in this study? If the company who makes the medication funds this research, what type of bias might exist in this research work?arrow_forwardHow do I determine the inhertiance pattern from the pedigree diagram?arrow_forward
