Let $\lambda$ be an eigenvalue of A and let x be an eigenvector belonging to $\lambda .$ Use mathematical induction to show that, for $m\ge 1,{\lambda }^m$ is an eigenvalue of $A^m$ and x is an eigenvector $A^m$ of belonging to ${\lambda }^m.$
