The pressure 1 atm should be expressed in pounds per square inch (psi).
Concept introduction:
The gas particles remain in a constant motion so they colloid with the wall of container and also with each other. This collision leads to pressure exert by the gas particles. It is called as gas pressure. The gas pressure is measured in different units such as atm, Pascal, mm Hg etc. All these units are related to each other.
An arithmetical multiplier which is used for converting a quantity expressed in one unit into another equivalent set of units is said to be conversion factor.
