In these exercises assume that the object is moving with constant acceleration in the positive direction of a coordinate line, and apply Formulas $\left(10\right)$ and $\left(11\right)$ as appropriate. In some of these problems you will need the fact that $88\text{ ft/s}=60\text{ mi/h}$ .

A motorcycle, starting from rest, speeds up with a constant acceleration of $2.6{\text{ m/s}}^{\text{2}}$ . After it has traveled $120\text{ m}$ , it slows down with a constant acceleration of $-1.5{\text{ m/s}}^{\text{2}}$ until it attains a speed of $12\text{ m/s}$ . What is the distance travelled by the motorcycle at that point?
