Interpretation:
The pressure in psi should be converted into atm.
Concept Introduction:
Pressure of gas is measured in pascal and newton in international system of units. IN chemistry, most commonly pressure is measured in millimeter of mercury and represented by mm Hg. Another unit is used like torr which is a unit named after Italian physicist and mathematician Evangelista Torricelli. But atm is one the common unit of pressure and is explained as the average pressure of atmosphere at sea level is 760 mm Hg.
The unit which is used for measuring the air pressure in tires of any vehicle or automobile or bicycle is psi i.e. pounds per square inch of the surface. The conversation factor of atm to psi is as below:
