Concept introduction: A practice of regulating and supervising the food habits in order to maintain, decrease or increase body weight, or to prevent diseases is known as dieting. Diet, which is rich in fat especially saturated fat, is called a high-fat diet. Keto diet, ketogenic diet, and low-carb diet are other names of a high-fat diet.
Explanation of Solution
The high-fat diet offers many health benefits. This type of diet will help to lose weight and improve the health. High-fat diets are ill-advised for those with arthritis, cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, hypertension, obesity, or stroke. This diet drastically reduces the carbohydrate intake and replaces that with fat. This reduction in the carbohydrate puts the body into a metabolic state called ketosis.
