Summary Introduction
Introduction:
Mountain climbers may face difficulty at high altitudes and elevations as the concentration of the oxygen and carbon dioxide gas in the air is less. The partial pressure of these gases is less in the atmosphere at increased altitude. This causes the occurrence of “hypoxia”. The less availability of oxygen decreases the amount of oxygen bound to hemoglobin in the blood. This causes the difficulty in breathing leading to dizziness and feeling of fainting sensation.
