Summary Introduction
Introduction:
In the1930s and 1940s, A. L. Hodgkin and Andrew Huxley proposed a model system for the study of electrical signaling, they use axons of the squid for this study. The native place for the squid is ocean and it is a prey for fishes and whales. Hodgkin and Huxley observed the electrical signaling in squid under the threatening conditions, when the squid experience the threat electrical signals travel down the axons to muscle cells, followed by the contraction of muscle which leads to the expulsion of water from the cavity of squid. This helps the squid to go away from danger. The mechanism of this electrical signaling helps squid to avoid predation.
