To calculate: The value of $\frac{24e^8}{4e^5}$.

The solution of the given problem is $6e^3$.

Given information:

Expression $\frac{24e^8}{4e^5}$.

Calculation:

Step 1: Write the problem in two parts

  $24e^8$ and $4e^5$

Step 2: Check what are the coefficients, exponents and base.

An exponent is a number or letter written above and to the right of a mathematical expression called the base.

Coefficient is a number multiplied by a variable.

A base is a number which gets multiplied when using an exponent.

Here, base is $e^{}$ for both the parts means base is same.

Here, exponents are different in both parts for one part it is 8 and for second part it is 5.

The coefficient in first case is number 24 and in second case is 4.

Step 3: Check which property of exponents goes with the given question

The property of quotient of power states that when dividing two powers with the same base, subtract the exponents as follow:

  $\begin{array}{c}\frac{24e^8}{4e^5}=\frac{24}{4}\left(e^{8-5}\right)\\ =6e^3\end{array}$

Hence, the required value is $6e^3$.
