Explanation:

If $y=b^x$ then $x={\log }_{b}y$ . It means the logarithm or log is the inverse of the mathematical operation of exponentiation. The log of a number is the number that a fixed base has to be raised to in order to yield the number conventionally. log implies that the base $10$ being used through the base can technically be anything when the base is $e$ , $\ln$ or ${\log }_e$ is written and also called the natural base and when the base is $2$ then the logarithm is called binary operation.
