Hemophilia is an impairment of the body’s control over blood coagulation or clotting. It is also called as factor VIII deficiency, because it is a genetic disorder caused by missing or defective factor VIII, a clotting protein. Clotting factors are the chemicals in the blood, which are responsible for the formation of blood clot.
