Summary Introduction

Out of  thousands of fungal species in nature approxiamtely 300 are known to infect the human body. Fungi live in soil, plants, trees or even on the skin of the humanbeing.  Although most of them are not very dangerous but few cause serious threat to life. The branch which deals with the fu ngal diseases is called as mycology. Fungal infections are called as Mycoses. People with poor immune system are prone to fungal diseases.
