Body Mass Index
Write a
where weight is measured in pounds and height is measured in inches. The program should display a message indicating whether the person has optimal weight, is underweight, or is overweight. A person’s weight is considered to be optimal if his or her BMI is between 18.5 and 25. If the BMI is less than 18.5, the person is considered to be underweight, the BMI value is greater than 25, the person is considered to be overweight.

- Ron bought several acres of farm to grow and sell vegetables. Suppose that Ron wants to grow a maximum of two types of vegetables. Write a program that prompts Ron or the user to do the following: Enter the total farm area in acres. The number of vegetables (one or two) that the user wants to grow. If the user wants to grow trwo types of vegetables, then specify the portion,as a percentage, of the farm land used for each type of vegetable. Enter the seed cost, plantation cose, fertilizing cost, labor cost, for each acre. Enter vegetable selling price per acre. Output the total revenue. Output the profit/loss.arrow_forward17. Math Tutor Write a program that can be used as a math tutor for a young student. The program should display two random numbers to be added, such as 247 +129 The program should then pause while the student works on the problem. When the student is ready to check the answer, he or she can press a key and the program will display the correct solution: 247 +129 376arrow_forwardCircle Properties Write a program that prompts for and accepts the diameter of a circle as a floating point number. The program should calculate and output the area and circumference of the circle. - 1. Lulu Hypermarket wants you to create a program that they can use to compute for the discounts to be given to Lulu card holders. The program should read the user to enter the name of the customer and the number of purchases. The number of purchases will serve as the counter for the number of times purchase amount will be entered by the user. The program should be able to count the number of purchase amounts in each of the following ranges: • 1 to 30 • Above 30 The program should also compute the sum of all the purchase amounts. A discount is computed based on the sum of the purchase amount. If the sum of the purchase is more than 500, the discount is 2.5% of the sum; otherwise, the discount is 5% of the sum. Display an appropriate output. If that operation results in an#error, divide mystery_value by (mystery_value + 5) and then#print the result. If that still fails, multiply mystery_value#by 5 and print the result. You may assume one of those three#things will work.##You may not use any conditionals.# #Add your code here!arrow_forwardBox Office: A movie theater only keeps a percentage (20%) of the revenue earned from ticket sales. The remainder goes to the movie distributor. Write a program that calculates a theater’s gross and net box office profit for a night. The program should ask for the name of the movie, and how many adult and child tickets were sold. (The price of an adult ticket is $10.00 and a child’s ticket is $6.00.) Input: the name of the movie, number of adult tickets sold, number of child tickets sold Output: as specified below Object: cin, cout, getline, format output Note: 1. Movie names contain spaces 2, the report is aligned. 3. The decimal number is displayed with 2 decimal places.arrow_forward
- Retail price calculator Write a program that asks the user to enter an item’s wholesale cost and its markup percentage. It should then display the item’s retail price. For example: • If an item’s wholesale cost is 5.00 and its markup percentage is 100 percent, then the item’s retail price is 10.00.• If an item’s wholesale cost is 5.00 and its markup percentage is 50 percent, then the item’s retail price is 7.50. The program should have a method named calculateRetail that receives the wholesale cost and the markup percentage as arguments and returns the retail price of the item.arrow_forwardIntro to Python Programmingarrow_forwardHide Assignment Information Instructions The civil engineering department has asked you to write a program to compare three different designs of water towers shown in the diagrams below. The water towers are a cylinder topped with a half sphere. The engineers want to find the design that has the highest volume. The radius of the sphere and the radius and height of the cylinder for each of the three projects will need to be input by the user. The formula for the volume of a Sphere is:V = 4/3 π r3The formula for the volume of a Cylinder is:V = π r2 h Write two functions that will calculate the volume of a sphere and a cylinder respectively. Then, use these functions to write a program that will find the design with the largest volume. Hint: Remember that the tower only consists of a half sphere.arrow_forward
- Periodic compounding The total accumulated value, including the principal sum P, is given by the formula: where: nt A = P(1 + 1) "² n A is the final amount Accumulated Value P is the original principal sum r is the nominal annual interest rate n is the compounding frequency t is the overall length of time the interest is applied (expressed using the same time units as r, usually years). Using the above formula write a program that will display the following table. Principal-Value | Times-Interest-Compunded | Annual-Int-Rate | Term | Accumulated-Value 1000 6.00% 10 3.20% 15 2000 3000 9.25% 10 2 ** 3 8 | You must use exponent operator to compute P Exponent Operator in Python is ** Examples m=3 n=2 p= m **n (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compound_interest) 1 2 4 base = 2 exp = 4 a = base ** exp print(a) 16 print("Solving the exponent, we get Solving the exponent, we get 9 ,p ) 1790.85 3219.89 7486.33arrow_forwardSalary Calculator Create a program that computes the salary based on an employee's hourly wage and hours worked. Note that employees may work for fractions of an hour, e.g. 1 and a half hours (1.5 hours). Otherwise, display the error message: "Invalid input". Please see the sample outputs below to guide the design of your program. main.cc file #include <iomanip> #include <iostream> int main() { // TODO: accept user input to store the hourly wage and hours worked. // Then, include the header file at the top of this file so you can // call your function that computes a…arrow_forwardC++ Visual 2019 Create a change-counting game that gets the user to enter the number of coins required to make exactly one dollar. The program should ask the user to enter the number of pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters.
