Interpretation:

The advantage of using saturated vapor or steam in heat exchanger applications as heat source should be explained. The pressure of variety of steam which is higher on the application of lower useful energy content and greater unit cost should be explained. The use of higher-pressure steam should be explained.

Concept Introduction:

Saturated vapor is the steam in which both liquid and water has same temperature and pressure and where liquid and water can coexist, and rate of water vaporization is equal to rate of water condensation. The saturated vapor has sensible as well as latent heat.

If the saturated vapor further heated, it becomes superheated vapor with higher temperature and lower density at same temperature.
