Introduction:

According to report card published by the USDA Centre of Nutrition Policy and Promotion (www.cnpp.usda.gov), more than 74% of the American population has received a 'Poor' grade on the Healthy eating Index (HEI). The HEI measures the quality of a person's diet and since a vast majority of American dietary practices have been termed as 'poor', finding a remedy to this is of utmost importance. Also, reports show that, four out every 10 deaths in America can be traced back to a poor diet (which causes cancer, coronary diseases, obesity, diabetes etc.) These staggering numbers show that some form of awareness program has to be installed, so that the country can bring the number of casualties down.
