To determine:

The conclusions that probably drawn if their first child had been deaf.

Introduction:

A deaf couple starts researching their family history and came to know that their family members have deaf relatives for several generations before. They also learned that one of several forms of deafness can be inherited as an autosomal recessive trait. This couple planed to have children. But based on the above-learnt information they are very concerned about their children may be deaf. But, their first child has normal hearing.
